Chromebook Check-Out

Silas Bartsch is excited to announce a new opportunity for our students to have access to technology at home. Since August 29th, Silas Bartsch students have been able to check-out Chromebooks along with a wireless device for overnight use from our school library.  The students will be issued a bag including the following: a Chromebook, wireless device and charger, all of which will be returned to the library the following morning.

The focus of the Chromebook take home program at Silas Bartsch is to provide tools and resources for the 21st Century Learner. Excellence in education requires that technology is seamlessly integrated throughout the educational curricula. Increasing access to technology is essential to build upon college and career readiness skills. The individual use of Chromebooks is a way to empower students to maximize their full potential and to prepare them for college and the workplace.

The Chromebooks and the access they will provide to each student will allow us to not only integrate more technology into your student’s learning experiences, it will also provide additional opportunities for students to collaborate, communicate, create, and apply critical thinking skills in their learning.  Effective teaching and learning with Chromebooks integrates technology into the curriculum anytime, anyplace.
