The purpose of Block B is to recognize and honor students who are making a positive impact at Silas Bartsch School. Students can earn points at the end of each Trimester by earning good grades, proficiency on major assessments, involvement in after school activities, involvement in sports, helping a teacher, and community service, etc. Students who attain enough points towards Block B twice during the school year are rewarded with a special trip. Additionally, students who make Block B a total of three times during their 6th and 7th grade years and EVERY trimester in their 8th grade year, will receive the honor of being a Silas Scholar. These students will wear a medal during their promotion ceremony. They will also be invited, along with their parents, to a formal dinner here at Silas Bartsch. It is quite an honor to be a Block B student at Silas Bartsch!
